Sri Lanka Vs South Africa 06/08/2013 – Results, Review and Statistical Highlights

The third and the final T20 Cricket match of the Dialog Cup between Sri Lanka (SL) and South Africa (SA) on 06/08/2013 kicked off with South Africa winning the toss and electing to bat first.  Another good decision by the proteas as they were looking for a whitewash after winning the first two Twenty20 matches.  Sri Lanka on the other hand were looking to restore some pride through a victory in the final match of the tour.  Read on for the complete Sri Lanka Vs South Africa 06/08/2013 Results along with the batting and bowling performance review and the Statistical Highlights of the match.

Statistical Highlights

CricketSouth Africa’s batting on 06/08/2013 was very good as they remained positive throughout their innings.  Almost all their batsmen contributed towards a score of 163 and the ended on a good note losing only 3 wickets in the end of their twenty overs.  The best highlights of their batting were Faf Du Plessis and JP Duminy who made a score of 85 and 51 respectively.  As far as Sri Lanka’s bowling was concerned, Nuwan Kulasekara was the pick of their bowlers as he bowled well and picked up a wicket of the first ball.

Sri Lanka’s batting started superbly as well as they were going at a run rate of in excess of 12 during the major part of the first 6 Overs.  Both Tillakaratne Dilshan and Mahela Jayawardene batted superbly and dominated the Proteas bowling attack.  Dilshan made a score of 74 and remained not out until he hit the final six to ensure the  results went in the favor of the Lankans and they won the match easy in the end.  As far as South Africa’s bowling was concerned, David Wise was the pick of their bowlers as he took 2 wickets.  Take a look at the scorecard of the complete match below.
