Sri Lanka Vs South Africa 04/08/2013 – Results, Review and Statistical Highlights

Statistical Highlights

When South Africa came into bat they had positive intent.  They batted exceeding well in comparison to the previous T20 as almost all their batsmen contributed towards setting up a defendable target of 146 Runs.  The best highlights of their batting were JP Duminy and David Miller who made a score of 30 and 36 runs respectively.  As far as Sri Lanka’s bowling was concerned, Sachithra Senanayake and Nuwan Kulasekara bowled well as they picked up two wickets each.

Sri Lanka’s batting  on 04/08/2013 was once again tested after Mahela Jayawardene fell early.  Once again it didn’t look as though anyone else could win them the match apart from Kumara Sangakkara who made a score of 39.  South Africa’s bowling and fielding was superb as they saved a lot of runs with Lonwabo Tsotsobe and Morne Morkel being the pick of their bowlers picking up two wickets each to help them pull the results in their favor.  Take a look at the complete scorecard of the match below.
