When Pakistan came into bat on 29/08/2013, they were much positive in comparison to their previous encounter. Despite losing the wicket of Ahmed Shehzad and Nasir Jamshed early, a partnership between Mohammed Hafeez and Umar Amin ensured they laid the right foundation for their remaining batsmen to set a huge target for the Zimbabweans with the best highlights of their innings being Hafeez who made a score of 136 and along with Shahid Afridi’s quick 39 as they reached a score of 299 in their allocated 50 overs. As far as Zim’s bowling was concerned, Brian Vitori and Prosper Utseya picked up 2 and 1 wicket respectively.
When Zimbabwe came into bat on 29/08/2013, they were looking at a target which was a stiff one. They lost a couple of wickets early which didn’t help but a partnership between Brendan Taylor and Sean Williams got them back into the match to an extent. However after their wickets fell, it was always going to be tough for them and they ended up being bundled out for 209. The best highlights of their batting was Taylor who made a score of 79.
