CricketWhen West Indies came in to bat in their first innings on 06/11/2013, they lost a couple of wickets fairly early as Chris Gayle and Kieran Powell failed to perform.  A good partnership between Marlon Samuels and Darren Bravo however ensured they got back into the match quickly as they mixed caution with aggression and ended their innings at a score of 65 and 36 respectively.  After the wickets of Bravo and Samuels fell, their innings folded like a pack of cards as it was only Shivnarine Chanderpaul who was able to make a score of 28 and there was no other significant contribution from anyone else before they ended their innings at a score of 234 all out.  As far as India’s bowling was concerned, Mohammed Shami was the best highlights as he took 4 wickets and bowled superbly.

When India came in to bat in their first innings on 06/11/2013, they had a solid start and before the close of day’s play their openers Shikar Dhawan and Murali Vijay remained not out at a score of 21 and 16 respectively.  As far as West Indies bowling was concerned, Tino Best, Sheldon Cottrell, Shane Shillingford and Veerasamy Permaul were the bowlers used but unfortunately couldn’t pick up a wicket.
