CricketWhen MI came in to bat on 21/09/2013, they had a somewhat slow start and lost regular wickets, but a partnership between Kieron Pollard and Rohit Sharma ensured they got their team to a competitive total of 142 on a pitch which seemed to be assisting the bowlers.  They ended their innings at a score of 42 and 44 respectively.  As far as Rajasthan Royals (RR) bowling was concerned, Vikramjeet Malik was the pick of their bowlers as he took 3 wickets.

When RR came in to bat, they lost a wicket of Rahul Dravid early but a partnership between Ajinkya Rahane and Sanju Samson ensured they always remained in the hunt to reach the target comfortably in the end.  Samson was the best highlights of their innings as he made 54 and as far as MI bowling was concerned, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Rishi Dhawan and Kieron Pollard picked up a wicket each but unfortunately could not pull the results in their favor.
